Another year to be so grateful for the ways the Lord orchestrates all things for our corner of Haiti. With the beginning of school comes our beloved distribution event, the time we set aside each year to meet with each of our students face to face, provide them with all of their needed school supplies, books, and back pack and we have an opportunity to share the love of Christ.

As many know, the state of Haiti has been in a constant position of volatility, making some of the simplest tasks nearly impossible. We take great pride in being able to say that we source as many of our supplies as possible from Haiti, but when the gangs control the road passage, we cannot always rely on those supplies making it to our area of Haiti in the timeline we desire. Even so, the Lord has blessed us year after year with a community who is so understanding and grateful in spite of the lack of things. Distribution week started with no shoes and no school supplies. By Friday, with only what we know to be the hand of the Lord, we had received all of the missing items! From the front gate to the photo station at the end, one thing we brought in strides during the week, was a spirit of joyful giving.

Distribution is an event that is filled with so much joy to have so many incredible people serving alongside one another. It seems as though each year there are most folks volunteering their week to work with us in bringing the Love of Christ to so many students and families in such a tangible way. This year we were able to see 2,655 students during the last week of September. That number is such a testament to the love and generosity of so many sponsors and partner churches in the states and so many amazing Haitian hands that make this program what it is.
