Each August we get to opportunity to connect with the students in our sponsorship program through our distribution event. 

As you can imagine, with more than 2,700 students in our sponsorship program, we have quite the feat distributing books, backpacks, school supplies, and shoes to each and every student. Through many years of trial and error, we have sculpted this process into something of an art.

The weeks leading up to distribution has our sponsorship team working diligently to gather pass and fail records from each school from the end of year testing, purchasing books, school supplies, and backpacks, and getting all of the items transported to and organized at the JAK school. To keep the process running as smoothly as possible, we set up different classrooms in an assembly line that the students will pass through to receive all of their belongings.

One thing I heard during my very first distribution, 5 years ago, was to make sure that you make each and every student feel special- whether you are interacting with the 1st student of the day or the 400^th student of the day. Students may break, ruin, or lose most of what they take away from distribution, but they will remember how we made them feel. I sincerely feel that this year each and every worker really lived out this concept. Our smiles were big and our hearts are full. We cannot thank you enough for loving your students in endless ways, the impact is beyond words.
